Selfies or mug shots? What is my true-self?

The following photos are the outputs of the students who took part in the ME lesson about the cult of selfies taught by the Greek teacher Glyki during the short-time activity in Svidnik, 2015.

Selfless selfies

On 20th November 2015, 12th graders of Escola Secundária de Casquilhos were taught a lesson on the cult of selfies. Students reflected upon the impact of taking selfies on their lives, the reasons that lead people to take selfies and the advantages and disadvantages of taking selfies. Then they were asked to think about other ways of presenting themselves on social networks.  Finally, they were challenged to create a Faceless “Self” poster at Postermywall.com.  The poster should contain the word, quote, activity, thing, song, mood and place that in their opinion would describe them best.  Texts, pictures and drawings could be used, but no pictures of people’s faces.
